Lachlan White
Principal Solicitor & Director

Lachlan practises broadly across commercial, business, property, estates and trusts law, and general litigation. His work includes commercial property matters, business sales and purchases, acquisitions, partnerships, leasing, advisory work, and comprehensive estate planning.

Growing up in the Riverina as part of a multi generational farming family shaped his understanding of rural business and succession planning. He works closely with rural families where decisions are closely connected to land ownership, business continuity, and long term family arrangements. This perspective allows him to balance broader context with the practical detail required for informed decision making. He regularly works alongside accountants and financial advisers to ensure advice is coordinated and considered.

Lachlan values long term client relationships and takes care to understand the family and business dynamics that sit behind significant decisions. He is known for a practical and clear approach to complex matters.

Before relocating to the Northern Tablelands, Lachlan worked for several years with a long established law firm in Griffith, New South Wales. He has since made Inverell home with his wife and two young children.

Ian Dun
Principal Solicitor

Ian is a second generation solicitor who has practised in and around Inverell for more than five decades. He is a principal of B & B Legal, following the merger of two long standing local firms in 2019.

Before the merger, Ian was a partner of the Inverell firm Wiltshire Britton & Dun and later practised as a sole practitioner. He brings a breadth of experience developed through a long and consistent career in regional practice, reflecting continuity within the local profession and long term service to the community.

Much of Ian’s work involves complex estate and property law matters. He acts primarily for long established families across the New England region, many of whom he has advised over several generations. In some families, Ian now acts for the fourth generation, having advised earlier generations at the outset of his career.

Ian values enduring client relationships and brings careful judgment and perspective to matters involving land, succession, and long term family arrangements. His practice reflects consistency, experience, and an understanding of regional life, along with the communities across the region.

Outside practice, Ian remains closely connected to the community and enjoys time travelling with his wife, Julie.
